We start at Ripan and change into warm clothing and meet the friendly Alaskan Huskies. Whilst you get comfortable on reindeer hides on the sledge, the dogs excitement crescendos in howls, eager to start. Off we go, and suddenly everything is quiet. The only thing you can hear is the sledge gliding over the snow and the breathing of the dogs. We take a break in a Sami-style tepee, and by the light of the open fire we will have a cup of coffee with some homemade bread and local specialties. We have the chance of seeing wild animals along the trail, at least their tracks in the snow.
